Right height at the bar
Tired of standing around the bar? The solution is simple - buy a bar stool! There are two heights to choose from. If you have a breakfast bar level with your kitchen worktop, choose a low bar stool. A free-standing bar table requires higher bar stools. The general rule is that the seat height should be about 12" lower than the tabletop. Easy to remember. Easy to choose.
High level dining area
If you want a pleasant dining area but have limited space, a good tip is to choose chairs and a table in bar height. They take less room and can also serve as a work space. Choose between several different heights, styles and materials.

We gave the JANINGE design team the challenge to create a chair that works as well at home as in restaurants – meeting the high standards of certification for public use and giving you good value for money. To achieve this, the design team needed to do things differently and break the traditional mold, so to speak.
