Good to know
The hide patterns vary in shades of light, medium, and dark brown. There may also be smaller spots in white, black, or beige.
All leather and skins you find in the IKEA range are sourced as by-products from the food industry. This means the whole animal is used instead of parts being discarded.
Skins and hides must be treated in order to become beautiful interior products. In this process, we don't allow any chemicals or heavy metals that are harmful to people and the environment.
The hides naturally vary in size and are normally between 71-78" in width and 78-86" in length.
To ensure you are satisfied with the size of the rug once you get it home, we recommend that you measure the intended floor space for your rug before you buy it.
Use one STOPP anti-slip underlay if you use it on the floor. Trim if necessary.
This product has been tested for domestic use.
Add warmth with natural beauty
Sheepskins and cowhides are a great way to add warmth and a cozy feeling to your floor. They’re versatile and easy to mix with different styles. Naturally beautiful and durable, they will outlast years of love and wear. All leather and skins in our range are sourced from the food industry where they are by-products. Since IKEA doesn’t accept any form of cruelty to animals, we have traceability systems to verify that our requirements on animal welfare are being met.
