"When I designed TÄRNABY I wanted to create a lamp that provides mood lighting which is soft and warm. I was inspired by old kerosene lamps, and used glass so that the light bulb is visible and becomes a decorative touch, just like the flame in older lamps. I was also inspired by the kerosene lamp’s flexibility in the home. That’s why the brightness can be adjusted with the dimmer on the side ‒ and even though it has a cord, the lamp is easy to place and move around."
TÄRNABY lamp is inspired by traditional kerosene lamps. The visible light bulb emulates a live flame and provides a mood lighting which is soft and warm.
