This product has been tested for domestic use.

Wool sheds naturally, so to keep your rug beautiful we recommend that you vacuum it regularly.

You will need 1 STOPP FILT rug underlay with anti-slip (5'5"x7'9") for this rug. Trim if necessary.

This rug fits with a 2-3 seat sofa, but can also fit other size sofas depending on how you place it.

What is wool?

Wool is a practical natural material that usually comes from sheep. The raw wool is washed and then spun into yarn. Wool rugs have many advantages. They're soft, warm and comfortable to walk on, and they're also very hardwearing. They're stain-resistant too, because wool has it own natural oil. This means that dirt stays on the surface and doesn't penetrate into the rug. All wool rugs shed - some more, some less - vacuum them regularly to prevent the loose fibers from scattering.

Nurturing the tradition of handmade rugs

Rug weaving has a rich history with craftmanship that has been passed down through generations. This is kept alive, in part by the skilled men and women who make IKEA rugs at weaving centers approved by us. Here, we can secure the well-being of the artisans and their communities as well as the resources we use. So, when you buy one of our handmade rugs, you become owner of a unique piece, while also contributing to positive change for the people who make them.

Designer Emma Hagman

When designing the autumn textile collection, I got carried away with big and bold graphical patterns. I started out drawing by hand, to get a lively feel. I like how the hand makes things naturally asymmetric. Random checks, untamed leaves, and details from nature were my inspiration. For me, Scandinavian design is not only simple, but also warm, nature-inspired, and often bold and large-scale. I hope you find this collection as happy and welcoming as I do.
