Looking for ideas to furnish a small bedroom in rented space? Although it’s temporary, this room still feels like a true home: cosy, full of comfort and personality. The look is minimal, with a distinct black and white colour palette and simple graphic patterns, and features plenty of smart storage solutions for a small space.

A black-and-white minimal yet cosy look

This room features a minimal style with an industrial touch, while still giving off cosy vibes. A clean white and black colour palette, simple graphic lines and metal elements make up the look. The concrete floor and the design of the lamps add an industrial feel. A bed with storage space underneath is just perfect for the small space.

Create zones for sleeping, hanging out, and dressing up

Clever zoning can really bring out the most of a small space. Here, we used an open storage combination to separate the sleeping area from the rest of the studio, creating privacy. We also used curtains as a room divider, easily hiding the dressing area and clothes storage for a calm visual expression.

Make temporary storage part of the room’s style

Here’s how to make simple white boxes – like our trusty SOCKERBIT boxes with lid – look great. With their creative placement and the matching black and white artworks on the wall, the boxes provide storage while adding to the style of the space. Casual, minimal and stylish.

Make room for guests with easy-to-move and multi-purpose furniture

We created a lounge area in this small bedroom with smart and flexible furniture, like this side table with handles and a nesting table and stools set. The stools can be used as an extra seat or an extra side table, and is easily stowed away under the table. Light wood details add warmth to the space.
